Dr Jon Steinbrecher
Dr Steinbrecher has been the commissioner of the Mid-American Conference since 2009. He has served as the commissioner of 3 conferences, having served as commissioner of the Ohio Valley Conference & the Mid-Continent Conference (the Summit League). He is the only person to serve as commissioner in all 3 NCAA Division I Subdivisions (FBS, FCS, DI).
Becky Burke
Coach Burke was hired on April 6th, 2022 to lead the Buffalo Women's Basketball Team. The former Louisville guard helped lead her team to the 2008-2009 NCAA Championship, ultimately falling to UConn in the finals. 2022 will mark her first season with the Bulls, with stops at St Joseph's College (IN) Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott, Charleston, and USC Upstate.
Isaac Vance
Isaac Vance played Wide Receiver at Kent State, where he not only helped Kent State advance to the 2021 MACCG, but he helped the Golden Flashes secure their first EVER bowl victory, a 51-41 win over Utah State in the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl. He is presently on the NCAA Division 1Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and is the president of the Kent State chapter of the SAAC.
Russ Eisenstein
Russ is in his 14th year of Infotaining the Bobcat faithful as the "Voice of the Bobcats". With nearly a dozen bowl games, and several NCAA tournament appearances between men's and women's basketball as well as softball and baseball, this veteran of the airwaves provides the best coverage you could ever want, giving you a highly consumable and fantastic broadcast. Russ is also a two-time Emmy Award Winner.
Chris Wormley
This former Michigan Wolverine is Defensive End in the National Football League. He was a 3rd round pick in the 2017 NFL draft by the Baltimore Ravens, before being traded to their division rival Pittsburgh Steelers in 2020. During his time at Michigan, he was named a Team Captain, earned 1st Team Big Ten honors and 2nd Team All-American Honors
Jarrod Pughsley
Jarrod is a former linemen for the Akron Zips. He spent 3 years in the NFL, signing contracts with the Dallas Cowboys, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens. While at Akron, he was a 4 year letter winner, and named team captain his senior season. He earned 3rd Team All-MAC honors his senior year, played in 35 games during his undergrad career while starting 23.
Sara Tisdale
After a stint at the D3 Augustana, Sara Tisdale is announced as the first EVER women's lacrosse coach in 2014 at Central Michigan, where she hit the ground running. In 2021, the Chippewas participated in the inaugural MAC season. Sara's players have consistently be recognized with conference and national honors across three different conferences. In June 2022, she became the head coach at rival Eastern Michigan.
Danjiela Tomic
The BGSU Women's Volleyball coach will enter her 12th season in the fall of '23 with the Falcons. Hailing from Catici, Bosnia and Herzegovina, She moved to the US to play volleyball for Arkansas-Little Rock, moving from player to assistant coach, and then all the way to head coach with stops at Arkansas Little Rock, Lousiana State, Florida International and finally, BGSU. She has won multiple regular season and MAC Tournament championships, and was named Coach of the Year in 2017.
Tim Lester
Tim Lester is the former WMU Head Football Coach. The former starting QB for the Broncos hit the ground running in his time at WMU, sending multiple players to the NFL. Getting the chance to coach for his Alma Mater is one of his greatest joys in life, and it shows. Knocking off 2021 ACC Champion Pitt in football, Lester captured the 2021 Quick Lane Bowl Championship en route to an 8-5 campaign.
Tricia Cullop
The Purdue graduate has been the head coach of the Toledo Women's Basketball team since 2008. Cullop has worked hard to bring Toledo to national relevance, rewarding the Rocket faithful with the 2011 WNIT championship and multiple first place finishes within the MAC. She also served as the president of the WBCA for 2019-2021.
Jeremy Guy
Jeremy is the Assistant Commissioner of Communications at the Mid-American Conference and has been with the MAC for over ten years, building one of the best social media brands in all of college sports. The Bowling Green graduate with a stop at the University of Kansas. You see #MACtion on social media? Jeremy is the guy pumping out the great content for your viewing pleasure.
